In my first developer role at KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), a supervisor once told me I wasn’t suited for IT. Seventeen-plus years later, I’ve led the teams and shipped the platforms that prove otherwise — not out of spite, but because resilience and curiosity turned out to matter more than anyone’s early verdict.
